Microsoft Teams
Send approval notifications directly to a Microsoft Teams channel. Requires a Microsoft 365 work or school account.
Requirements
✅ Microsoft 365 work or school account (not free/personal)
✅ Access to teams.microsoft.com (not teams.live.com)
✅ Permission to add Workflows in your Team channelCapabilities
✅ Approval notifications sent directly to your Teams channel
✅ Links directly to the pending approval in Cheqpoint
✅ Secure delivery via Microsoft Power Automate Workflows⚠️ Work or school accounts only
Incoming webhooks are not available on the free personal version of Teams (teams.live.com / “Communities”). You must be signed in to a Microsoft 365 work or school account at teams.microsoft.com. Legacy Office 365 Connectors were retired in 2025; use Workflows instead.
Setup Guide - Microsoft Workflows
This is the only supported method as of 2025. Legacy Connectors have been retired by Microsoft.
- Sign in at teams.microsoft.com with your work or school Microsoft 365 account.
- In the left sidebar, click Teams and open your team (e.g. Engineering or Operations).
- Hover over your target channel (e.g. General) and click (···) More options.
- Click Workflows from the menu.
- In the search box, search for: Post to a channel when a webhook request is received.
- Select the template, verify your team and channel, then click Add workflow.
- Copy the generated HTTP webhook URL.
- In Cheqpoint, go to Settings → Notifications → Microsoft Teams, paste the URL, and click Save webhook.
- Click Test connection to confirm a message appears in your Teams channel.
Enterprise Compatibility
Cheqpoint delivers notifications via standard HTTP webhooks to your Workflows endpoint. If your organisation restricts outbound HTTP requests, ensure that app.cheqpoint.co is allowlisted in your Azure / Microsoft 365 admin portal.
